National Australian Convention of Amateur Astronomers

Society members participate in the National Australian Convention of Amateur Astronomers (NACAA), which is hosted by an Australian astronomical society every two years.

NACAA XXIV will be held in Canberra over Easter 2010 (April 2-5) at the Rydges Capital Hill Hotel. For more information, including the programme and registration details, please visit the NACAA web site.

The NACAA convention has been held around Australia since 1967, and has become a regular national forum at which amateur astronomers can exchange experiences, stay abreast of the latest trends, foster co-operative activities between individuals, societies and the professional sphere, and network amongst their peers throughout Australia and beyond.

In 2002, the Astronomical Society of South Australia hosted the 20th convention.
