Note: An informal Q&A session at 6:45pm will precede the main presentation to provide attendees the opportunity to ask questions about Astronomy or the ASSA. The Q&A session is not recorded or broadcast. Please come early and join in!

Attend In-Person: A limited number of theatre seat tickets are available for this meeting. Tickets are FREE and must be obtained from Eventbrite to gain entry to the theatre. No Ticket, No Entry. The Braggs LT entrance is located at E10 on the map (doors face the Barr Smith Lawns).

Summary: Find out how it all began. We will look at The Big Bang. How it evolved into the Universe we see today and look at possible fates the Universe has in store for us. We will also discuss redshifts and those mysterious entities, dark matter and dark energy.

Bio: Colin is employed as a biomedical technician at St. Andrew’s Hospital. He is a Life Member of ASSA and has been the Society's Beginner's Councillor for 16 years. He owns a Sirius observatory in Gawler where his main interest is Astrophotography. He is also participating in an international amateur search for habitable exoplanets and currently has an unconfirmed sub-Jupiter discovery around GL3470.
