Meetings & Events
The ticketed Public Stargazing Night at Hawthorndene Oval is CANCELLED tonight (Friday 17th October).
Predicted to be 100% overcast all night as well as the oval being soaked.
We hold a number of activities throughout the year. These primarily include monthly meetings and viewing nights, but also include camps, seminars, and social events.
The general public are most welcome to attend any of our monthly General Meetings, the Astronomy Education sessions, or our public viewing nights.
- Meetings - are held once a month and usually feature a guest speaker.
- Astronomy Education - short, focused presentations aimed at the beginner and intermediate level.
- Viewing Nights - held regularly at each of our observatories.
- Dark Sky AstroCamps - held throughout the year around South Australia for those seeking darker skies.
- School & Group Visits - we come to you with telescopes and/or a presentation.
